[OS X TeX] Pdftex and Custom Formats

Howdy,

I just discovered that with the tl2004 the pdftex (really pdfetex...)
defaults to DVI output if you use a custom format. I had to add the option

-output-format pdf

to my custom engine to make it produce a .pdf file. I wouldn't think that
was the case. No big deal, but it confused me for a short while. But then
I'm easily confused.
