Hiya,

Just as I wrote that the new gtamac bits didn't work -- I have  
reconfigured using the i-Installer package as suggested and deleted  
the .map files in my ~/Library/texmf folder and it seems to work.

I have no idea how it worked, just that it has!

I presume this is all working fine :)
