Perhaps the relevant difference here is that the first file's modification
date is before 10.4.3 appeared and was indexed at that time, whereas the
latter file was last modified after 10.4.3 and, hence, was not indexed? If
you make, and save, some changes to the first file does it stay indexed?
(Presumabley the answer is yes, as this seems to have happend to the second
file.)
