Howdy,

It is done in other editors so I'd suspect it can be done in TeXShop. Of
course that doesn't mean it's easy and I certainly can't do it --- I know
nothing about writing objective-C or Cocoa, I leave that up to the experts,
Richard Kock, et.al. I thank them profusely for the wonderful things we CAN
do with TeXShop to make life easier in producing TeX/LaTeX/ConTeXt/etc.
Documents.

Of course substituting \emph{TEXT} for TEXT in each of the discontinuous
selections is a slightly different problem.
