[OS X TeX] Tcl/Tk, Alpha and Tiger

Again I'm asking an Alpha question here, as I'm not sure where to go  
for questions related to Alpha and Tcl/Tk.

Going by chance on the Tcl/Tk Aqua page I just saw that a new page on  
Tiger compatibility has been written <http:// 
tcltkaqua.sourceforge.net/tiger>, telling in particular that most of  
Tcl/Tk Aqua BI 8.4.9 is included in Tiger, that a new 8.4.9.1 had  
been released for Tiger and that previous versions, if installed  
after Tiger, have overwritten one of its components /usr/bin/wish4.7.  
Unfortunately I installed version 8.4.9. Arghhh!

Hence the following questions:

- How can I get Tiger to exactly the state in which it was before  
installing Tcl/Tk Aqua 8.4.9? Contrary to other software packages,  
Tcl/Tk Aqua is very nice in that it includes an uninstall script, but  
that won't recreate the portions of Tiger that may have been  
overwritten. Do I need to Archive & Install Tiger just for this? If  
that's needed I'll do it, but frankly I would give anything for not  
having to lose again one or two days just reinstalling Tiger and then  
my additional applications one by one, then redefining my printers, etc.

- The above page mentions Tcl/Tk Aqua BI, Tcl/Tk Aqua Darwin, TkAqua,  
TclTkAqua CVS and more. Help! It's difficult nay impossible, when not  
a specialist, to understand the differences and relations between all  
these things.

- Is it correct to infer from this page that the portions of Tcl/Tk  
included in Tiger are all that's required to run AlphaX? I'm not  
interested in Tcl/Tk Aqua per se, only as a pre-requisite for  
runnning AlphaX (and possibly DarwinPorts).

- Is it correct, too, to infer that the fix in Tcl/Tk Alpha BI  
8.4.9.1, compared with version 8.4.9, is that it only installs those  
portions of Tcl/Tk not included inside Tiger, without overwriting  
anything? If there's a risk of overwrite, then I would never even  
remotely consider to install it.
