Hi all,

I have a problem with the output generated by the \listoffigures
command. This is for a book with many chapters, and each chapter has
many figures, so the numbers in the list of figures end up being
things like 2.3 as well as 11.16b. So they vary in width quite a bit.

The problem is that when the numbers are that long, they tend to
collide with the caption for the figure, resulting in not too pretty
a site. You can see the effect here:

Is there a way to tell LaTeX how much space to leave for those
numbers, so that this doesn't happen?

Thanks,
Haris
