This reminds me of my beginnings in the LaTeX world - I started up  
based on your course notes back in early 2001 thanks to the web,  
while writing on my 'Diplom' thesis in Germany. So a big - slightly  
delayed - 'thank you' for making this course available on the net. It  
was a tremendous help to get the basic LaTeX skills for writing a  
thesis!
