[OS X TeX] BibDesk: Unable to save metadata cache file

Hi all,
sorry to have bothered you with this problem, but I got so frightened  
to have lost my bib file.
Problem is solved. Opening the bib file with BBEdit one of the Title  
fields showed blank lines in between caused by linebreaks which had  
gone into it through copying the Title entry from the publication's  
cover. Stupid (but *so* proud to have found it !). Everything works  
well again.
