[OS X TeX] picking a bibtex helper application

I'd like to set the teTeX bibtex as my bibtex helper application. I 
thought to use the Config/Global Setup/Helper Applications button, but 
when I  the full path of the command line application, Alphatk still 
complains that it can't find the bibtex SIG.

I also have tried to use CMacTeX's bibtex, but there I either call up 
the main CMacTeX program (but don't pass anything on to the BibTeX tool) 
or the BibTeX tool, and don't pass anything to it.

Any ideas?
