Making support for *most* users (or just one hypothetical 'most  
user') is easy. (E.g. in your case, a 'most user' does not use fink).

Sadly, there nobody knows if he or she is a 'most user' and will soon  
know he or she is therefore running risks with your scripts and stuff.
