Then what exactly is TeXLive?
In CTAN
http://ctan.org/tex-archive/systems/texlive/
has
Images/ 2006-02-02 contains: texlive
Source/ 2004-11-28
install/ 2006-09-02
Images are created once per year.
Source files are old. Install files are 2005-11-* and 2005-10-* mainly.
Where would appear pdftex 3.141592-1.30.6-2.2 if the authors uploaded it today?
