It seems that teTeX's bsr.map contains the concatenation of cmtext- 
bsr.map, cmother-bsr.map (found in dvips/cm/), ams-bsr.map etc.  
(found in /dvips/ams)

The interesting thing is that bsr.map is copyrighted ``Thomes Esser  
1998, 2002, public domain'' and the files above : ``Thomas Esser, May  
2005. Public domain.'' The TeXLive files seem more recent. However,  
why cut bsr.map into small bits ?
