Yes I read Readme. I have 10.4.7 and help files I installed where they
should be but still TCOBrowser does not see them. In this sense texdoc
finds but the  old one in texmf.tetex rather than the new one in
texmf.local.

Other help files could be seen. May be the reason of mistreatment of
pgf is the too large depth:

/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/doc/latex/pgf/version-for-pdftex/en/pgfmanual.pdf
/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.tetex/doc/help/Catalogue/entries/pgf.html

Anyway, it how the author want them to be installed. It would be nice
if one was able to configure TCOB to look helpfiles  files according
to /usr/local/teTeX/texmf.cnf? The other thing which would be nice: to
be able to tell TCOB the extension order (subordinate to the order of
the trees).

May be I am looking for too much: something like  texdoc + texdoctk  +
mpm on steroids (latter running either in the root mode or user mode)
