There's a version 2.97b from March 25, 2007 at <http:// 
developer.berlios.de/project/shownotes.php?release_id=12515>.  Afaik,  
Markus puts up new versions first at BerliOS, so CTAN might be not up  
to date sometimes.

Yes: if you post that at the TeX-D-L list (subscription at <http:// 
www.listserv.dfn.de/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=tex-d-l&A=1>, searchable  
archive at <http://www.listserv.dfn.de/archives/tex-d-l.html>),  
Markus Kohm will probably read and answer it.   If you have a problem  
reading/writing German I'd be glad to repost that there.
