I.e., the permissions of /Applications/Tex are different from the ones of
/Applications, and the permissions inside /Applications/Tex vary:

roussankas-computer:~ rosi$ ls -ld /Applications/
drwxrwxr-x   46 root  admin  1564 Feb 16 16:10 /Applications/
roussankas-computer:~ rosi$ ls -ld /Applications/
drwxrwxr-x   46 root  admin  1564 Feb 16 16:10 /Applications/
roussankas-computer:~ rosi$ ls -ld /Applications/Tex
drwxr-xr-x   8 root  admin  272 Feb 22 20:18 /Applications/Tex
