Yes, in my desktop; in my laptop (untouched by Quark 6*), TeX  
directory has drwxr-xr-x, but Adobe apps are drwxrwxrwx.

* I always say Quark 6, because latter they fixed this permissions  
problem, at least Quark 6.5 updater didn't mess with permissions.
