Thank you to Bruno, Dick, and everyone else who replied. I finally
tracked down the source of the problem. It turns out that the problem
was due to the fact that I was loading a slightly modified version of
marvosym.sty 2.0 rather than the current marvosym.sty 2.1. I had to
modify the old version since it redefined the \Rightarrow command in
AmS-LaTeX with its own version, which I didn't like. I see that now
he uses \MVRightarrow for his version. For some reason, it didn't
break until this recent release of TeX Live 2007.
Anyway, it appears that all is well at my end with Dick's most recent
release of TeX Live 2007.
I apologize for the trouble, though the reminder that the error was
associated with marvosym was a huge help in tracking down what had
happened.
Thank you again!
All the best,
Gary
