[OS X TeX] pdfsync

I noticed that pdfsync affects the typeset output of documents. In  
this particular case, a document that is typeset in revtex4 with  
pdfsync produces one extra page at the end that contains a single  
line. Removing pdfsync results in tighter page breaks that eliminate  
the extra page.
