[OS X TeX] .fd files in TexLive

I have installed TexLive 2007.

I have tried kpsewhich -show-path=fd to find out where the system  
will look for LaTeX .fd files.
Kpsewhich issues a warning message: Ignoring unknown file type `fd'

So in which locations is the system looking to find  .fd files?
