I myself haven't used (at least for now) file supervision with CVS.
By not knowing how that might interfere with the TeX distributions that
I've been using, I would prefer to navigate between what gwTex and
TeXLive-07 provide, and what I can get, with the help of this list.
But it is good to hear what you are telling: I'll try to keep my eyes to
what you point, well, after I see where to look at.
