[OS X TeX] TeXLive and harvard.sty

I seem to be having a compatibility problem with TeXLive and  
harvard.sty.   Using the harvard package with TeXLive (running with  
TeXShop, but I don't think that matters) every \citeyear citation is  
missing parentheses when I typeset.  Citations using \cite and  
\citeasnoun are fine.  This just started happening since I installed  
TeXLive.  It happens with both the AMS article class and the standard  
LaTeX article class.  Any ideas?  Anyone else having this trouble?
