[OS X TeX] More otftotfm problems...

When I run otftotfm, everything it generates is put into  
~/.texlive2007/texmf-var/ **except** the lcdftools.map file -- that  
stays in the font folder that contains the OTF fonts that I am  
working on.

If I move that to ~/.texlive2007/texmf-var/fonts/map/dvips/, and run  
updmap-sys, I get an error that lcdftools.map cannot be found.

I'm confused, and need help!
