Dear all,
Thank you for your help about [OS X TeX] Incompatibility between
geometry and TeX+ghostscript.
There is another problem with the geometry package I am not able to
solve by myself: with the magnification option on, there is no way to
get correct left and right margins. I mean: the left margin on the
left page should be equal to the right margin on the right page, and
the right margin on the left page should be equal to the left margin
on the right page. But neither holds.
This is a minimal example :
%
<-----------------------------------------------------------------------
----
\documentclass[twoside,12pt]{book}
\usepackage
[mag=800,paperwidth=15truecm,paperheight=22.5truecm,textwidth=11truecm,t
extheight=17truecm,inner=17truemm]{geometry}
\begin{document}
\chapter{Text}
\def\text{Text. Text. Text. Text. Text. Text. Text. Text. Text. Text.
Text. Text. Text. Text. Text. Text. Text. Text. Text. Text. Text.
Text. Text. Text. Text. Text. Text. Text. Text. Text.}
\def\Text{\text \text \text \text \text \text \text \par}
\def\TEXT{\Text \Text \Text \Text \Text \Text \Text \Text }
\TEXT
\end{document}
%
<-----------------------------------------------------------------------
----
If you use
\usepackage
[mag=800,paperwidth=18.75cm,paperheight=28.125cm,textwidth=13.75cm,texth
eight=21.25cm,inner=21.25mm]{geometry}
or
\usepackage
[paperwidth=18.75cm,paperheight=28.125cm,textwidth=13.75cm,textheight=21
.25cm,inner=21.25mm,mag=800]{geometry}
you get exactly the same result and the same bad margins.
Note. I am using pdflatex.
