[OS X TeX] hyperref and apacite

I get this error when running bibtex:

I could not open style file apacite.bst


I placed it under /usr/local/texlive/texmf-local/tex/bibtex/bst/apacite/


Maybe I misunderstood.  I will place it instead under ~/Library/texmf
and run texhash afterwards.
