I must agree as I would never allow either one under my roof, let
alone on my Mac.

I have a copy in bin, presumably from Gnuplot-4.0.0.dmg. I also have
a folder on my desktop, called gnuplot-4.2.3, which I downloaded
yesterday. Presumably, I should remove 4.0.0 from bin but I don't
know what to do with 4.2.3.

I truly have no idea what you are talking about but it sounds like
fun. I will ask my grandsons.
