What can I say? Sorry about that. Besides, Rhomunu's request was for  
the Console which I can't read anyway.

I just tried it and, as Schulz already observed, it doesn't seem to  
work in 2.14. under 10.4.11

But even if it did, it seems to me that, on the basis of use  
frequency, cmd I should be "the keyboard shortcut for the command  
"emphasize", which is a built-in TeXShop macro " out of the box.
