Recently, yesterday, Dick Koch wrote, that MacTeX installation could
fail with PATH on Leopard, Mac OS X 10.5. An update will be available
soon.
The latex executable could most probably be found in /usr/texbin. 'ls
-l /usr/texbin/latex' on the command line in Terminal would reveal
this. Otherwise 'which latex' could show whether an incorrect PATH is
really the culprit.
To change PATH we need to know which shell you are using – unless you
are willing to go the more clever way with ~/.MacOSX/
environment.plist. This file's syntax is independant of your shell's
syntax.
