What folders and files did you copy? The map files needs to be placed
in texmf-local/fonts/map/pdftex/gtmamacfonts/. You DON'T need to run
updmap-sys --- pdftex (which must be used to use the gtmacfonts) but
you DO need to run `sudo mktexlsr` (or `sudo texhash). Are the ttf
fonts in the right place? Other files?
By ``installed on the computer'' what do you mean?
