The .texshop files contain just the path to the root file, trivial to
reproduce, but very messy as well, and not a method I would recommend.
First of all, placing
%%!TEX root = path
in the file makes the setting visible. My BBEdit scripts support the
%SourceDoc and the %!TEX root methods, not the .texshop files.
Exchanging with others may just become a little bit easier.
