Amen to that.  The environmental cost, together with the cost in time
to keep learning new ways to do the same old things, is getting more and
more annoying and unsustainable.  This from someone who, when he first
started playing with computers in 1966, thought he'd found the best toy
he had ever had, and who has found them quite useful in his work ever
since.
