It does help indeed, thank you Ross. Still, I realized that the new
layout has a drawback (I'm hard to please !) : there's nothing
wrong in breaking a section on two successive pages, but
a "Section (...) (continued)" should be displayed on the
second page, a sort of "local" version of the \caption command.
This is out of reach of usual LaTeX programming with the
\longtable environment, right ? I'll have to stick to the current
layout as it is.
