Howdy,

Oh my goodness... I see that you're still using gwTeX. That's at least  
4 years old and quickly going out of date. I'm not at all sure that  
the xdvi2pdf back end (I don't think there was an xdvpdfmx back end at  
that time) may not be up to dealing with the ttc font format at all;  
hopefully Jonathan Kew will see this so he can comment.

You can download and install MacTeX-2008 and then update some of the  
binaries via <http://www.tug.org/mactex/> and the links about the FAQ  
and Font Cache bug (if you use TeXShop move the ~/Library/TeXShop/ 
Engines/ folder to your Desktop and restart TeXShop and that folder,  
with updated engines, will be recreated). Or you can wait a short time  
and MacTeX-2009 will be out and all of the problems you are  
experiencing will be fixed (possibly to be replaced by others :-)).
