So this is the problem. On my old machine I have them the maps in /usr/local/texmf-local/fonts/map/dvips. They don't exist on my new machine, so I need to copy them over.
One question. Can I put them in ~/Library/texmf/fonts/map/dvips? My whole goal (the reason that I install the fonts locally) is to try to isolate all the lucida stuff (and all my other localizations) in one place, away from /usr/local, so that when I migrate machines, I know exactly what needs to be moved. Can the map files live in there too? updmap will look in there for the map files, right?
