Yes, the site is rather minimal, to the point of being a bit bizarre.  
Has anyone actually tried it? (I cannot as it requires 10.5)

Of course, I am just being curious and quite happy with TeXShop. By  
the way, is the ability to read top lines such as

	%!TEX root = ../Text-controls/\jobname.tex

unique to TeXShop? (I know that at least the ability to read \jobname  
in such a line is.)
