No! Look at the WASy FD file (/usr/local/texlive/2010/texmf-dist/tex/
latex/wasysym/uwasy.fd, /usr/local/texlive/2010/texmf-dist/tex/latex/
wasysym/uwasyvar.fd)! There could be somewhere else a typo from the
time the package was created. On a standard HFS+ file system "u" and
"U" in a file's name are the same. The St. Mary Road fonts have a
Ustmry.fd file...
Rob, which FD files are logged in the LOG file? Also, you could put a
\listfiles
into the preamble to get a list of all relevant files used and their
version numbers.
