It's true that you don't need to change the capitalization once you copy the file into your personal area, because kpathsea uses file system searches there. However, case is significant in system areas because the search in ls-R is case-sensitive. I just checked that it does work to change the original name to UOrnementsADF.fd using

cd /usr/local/texlive/2010/texmf-dist/tex/latex/adforn
sudo mv uOrnementsADF.fd UOrnementsADF.fd
