Howdy,

I believe that TLU keeps a limited number of previous logs so the log file will not continue to grow.

You can try to moving ~/Library/Preferences/TeX Live Utility/Log Messages.plist to your Desktop and start TLU to make sure it's recreated. If that doesn't work put that file back in place.
