I am in Snow Leopard (10.6) and there is no Tex Live Utility folder in ~/Library/Preferences. There is a "com.googlecode.mactlmgr.tlu.plist", but removing it from the Preferences didn't make a difference.

/usr/local/texlive/2011/texmf-var/web2c/tlmgr.log seems to keep the logs, but I would rather not touch it. I noticed that I have similar files for 2009 and 2010: guess I lived with them, and they are rather small.

(Yes, although very rarely, sometimes I need older tex versions because of incompatible changes.)

Thanks!

Nestor
