you can download the 0.5B release which has lots of improvements, as well as
lots of new and undocumented bugs. This new version is an improvement in
almost every way, so feel free to download it and use it, but it still has
some ugly behavior, such as buttons that don't do anything and a half-baked
untypeset service that doesn't work. The documentation is also currently
undergoing revision and the docs distributed with 0.5B are not up to date.
Mostly the program works the same, so if you're feeling adventurous you
could probably figure out the differences.

One word of caution: if you had previously installed version 0.1B, it will
be necessary for you to

1) delete the old app
2) delete the ~/Library/Application Support/Equation Service directory
3) delete the edu.umn.space.rowland.EquationService.plist file in your
~/Library/Preferences directory

BEFORE installing the new one. If you don't do this, the app will crash at
launch.

If you had output PDFs or modified templates stored in those directories,
please move them somewhere else, delete the directory, then move them back.

I will try to make the final release a little more forgiving of previous
versions. In fact, there was sort of a major break between 0.1B and 0.5B
that shouldn't occur with later revisions, so this shouldn't be a problem in
future.

See the ES website ("Version History") to find the new features added in
this release.

The source code for this release is also available as a separate download.
Please be kind, as this is my first Cocoa programming project.

Please report any bugs directly to rowland at fields.space.umn.edu
