[OS X TeX] executing gs after installing Mavericks

Every major OS update has screwed up some links or removed some libraries. It sounds like it's XQuartz' turn. Easiest thing to do is just let Mavericks re-install XQuartz. (I wonder if xQuartz would heal itself by just opening the app but I haven't installed Mavericks yet.)

There is an alternative. There are two versions of gs installed by MacTeX, gs-X11 and gs-noX11 and then gs is a symbolic link to one of them as determined by the presence of X11/XQuartz. You could somlply change that symbolic link. I still think the easiest way to deal with this is to have Mavericks re-install XQuartz.
