It contained only folders, no files.

This regenerated the /texmf-var/luatex-cache/generic/names folder, but it is empty.

I got a lot of 

Non-aligned pointer being freed

It didn't.
Of course I can blacklist the fonts, since I don't need chinese, but that only hides the bug.
