[OS X TeX] LaTeX won't format emph

Howdy,

Do you have \usepackage{lmodern} in the preamble? How about \usepackage[T1]{fontenc}?

The only bad thing about that is all your apps that display pdf are using PDFKit so you can't detect a bug there since all of them will show the same thing.

Sorry about that. But I see no problems with those examples? What was the code to produce those examples so I can figure out what I was (not)supposed to see?
