[OS X TeX] Simple Cyrillic Example

I use the "standard transliteration" of Russian, with the \cyr command.
Here is an example in plain TeX;
I can try and convert it to LaTeX, if you need:
\input cyracc.def
\newfam\cyrfam
\font\tencyr=wncyr10
\def\cyr{\tencyr\cyracc} %USUAL ROMAN CYRILLIC
{\cyr Privet!}
Which means ``hi!''.
