Howdy,
Check that you have Key Bindings (what used to be called Auto-Completion) enabled in TeXShop->Preferences->Source->Editor. You can Edit that ``autocompletion.plist'' file (bad name since it gets confused with Command Completion) with Source->Key Bindings->Edit Key Bindings File… rather than deal with the autocompletions.plist file directly.
