[OS X TeX] Trouble installing MacTeX 2016 in El Capitan

I am sorry that my message gave some trouble to you. Yes, I checked that the lines were copied correctly. The problem was in my computer: When upgrading to El Capitan, I had left out one step I shouldn't (I've been a Mac user for 30 years, so I should have known!): Even if upgraded using Software Update, from Apple's repository, one should run Software Update once more! A minor update appeared, and after I applied it, I used the same Terminal commands (carefully copy-pasted from the doc) and they worked flawlessly. Why they had not worked before ? No idea ...
I take this opportunity to send you a very warm thanks for all the work you do for all of us.
