[OS X TeX] Alpha and CocoaAspell

I still use (and love) Alpha for my TeX editor. I recently asked one of the developers about supporting CocoAspell. I’m not the least bit sure how the interaction between CocoaAspell and TeXShop works (beyond just choosing a dictionary in the preferences), so I wasn’t sure how to answer his question:

> I have implemented support for the built-in OS X spell checker in Alpha (version 9.0rc1 soon to be released). I assumed that this would automatically enable the Cocoaspell when this service is invoked. But I’m not sure how Cocoaspell is supposed to work. Could you just tell me if there is something to do once it is installed on my machine: I do have a control panel called Spelling now but is there something to do to tell the system to use this spell checker rather than the default one ?

Is it just a matter of installing CocoaAspell and making choices in the system prefs panel? Any help would be appreciated. (I have cc’ed the developer directly here, so feel free to shoot over my head.)

Thanks,
David Craig
