I’m not the least bit sure how the interaction between CocoaAspell and TeXShop works (beyond just choosing a dictionary in the preferences), so I wasn’t sure how to answer his question:

I assumed that this would automatically enable the Cocoaspell when this service is invoked. But I’m not sure how Cocoaspell is supposed to work. Could you just tell me if there is something to do once it is installed on my machine: I do have a control panel called Spelling now but is there something to do to tell the system to use this spell checker rather than the default one ?

Howdy,

CocoAspell actually works through the standard Apple Spelling System. If Alpha (brings back old memories!) uses that it should already work.

Good Luck,
