Roussanka,

Yes. The easy way to do that is to go to the Macro menu and select the item "Program". It will provide a list of available programs or engines. If you choose one, the macro will automatically insert the appropriate code at the top of your source.
But this is also a useful step if you don't quite know the appropriate xxxx.

Notice that several choices mention Latex: latex, pdflatex, XeLaTeX, and LuaLaTeX. All of these are self explanatory except "latex" and "latex" is the xxxx you are after.
