Looking back at my old emails, I think refreshing the version of pdfsync.sty (or something like this) solved it. The problem has come back. Does anyone know what is happening? (I just installed the full TeXLive 2020 and am using TeXshop).

Hello again,

The problem of TeXShop preview jumping several pages after typesetting has returned with a vengeance. There is one common theme to the problem - it always happens after there has been an error. After correcting the error, preview will jump for the next couple of typesets and then settle down. I am on the latest versions of everything, I believe.

Any suggestions?

Thanks very much!
