[OS X TeX] TeXShop freezes after Mac sleep

I’m using TeXShop 4.68 under macOS Monterey 12.1.

If TeXShop is open, with several windows open and at least one edited but not saved again, when the screensaver kicks in and I subsequently wake up my iMac, TeXShop freezes, and the only thing I can seem to do is to use Activity Monitor to Quit it and then reopen it.

Is there some way to prevent this?
